Calibration is necessary to effectively use the data and alarm settings
Recommend calibration by a professional Industrial Hygienists
"The process of receiving spatial-temporal data of particulate concentrations in real-time that can indicate a condition exists that requires some kind of action or no action at all, the difference between the choices being significant enough that a positive benefit is received by the correct decision being made and a negative consequence for the wrong decision" - Corey Bender

This beatsilica video is about the two graphs below and the data we have for concrete chipping operations
Side-by-Side samples during chipping operations over 2 different industries, 3 different locations, 6 different days over 5 months, with 2 different Dylos monitors: Regardless of %Quartz (Range 10%-%30) the Dylos PM10 overestimated the total respirable dust (NIOSH 0600) in general by a CF of 0.4 (Range 0.3-0.53)
We've already seen that the Dylos Silica gives a solid, stable and accurate estimate of total respirable dust concentration regardless of silica%. It makes sense that the CF for the PM2.5 compared to the respirable silica result (NIOSH 7500) will change as %Quartz changes. The CF goes up as the %Quartz increases.
No more debates or shoulder shrugs
Avoid needless work stoppages, correct upset conditions quickly
Better defend your compliance efforts with an exposure assessment force multiplier
